EVENT: Invesco QQQ HBCU Legacy Classic

On Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, the Invesco QQQ Legacy Classic will make its return to Newark, New Jersey’s Prudential Center for its third consecutive year. Hosted by actor-director-entreprenuer Michael B. Jordan, this year’s edition of the event will feature an HBCU basketball doubleheader to be televised nationally on TNT.

The slate will include the first-ever Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) matchup between Grambling State and Jackson State, as well as the battle for “the real HU” when Hampton University takes on Howard University. During halftime, the respective schools’ bands will perform in a highly-anticipated showdown of their own.

The Fidelity Scholars Program combines a generous annual needs-based scholarship with robust wrap-around services that support students’ persistence to degree or certificate attainment.

The program is working to identify and support approximately 2,500 talented students from Fidelity’s geographical priority areas in the United States. For year 2023-2024, the program will focus on students from Florida, Massachusetts, New Mexico, New Jersey, North Carolina, Texas and Washington, DC.

North Carolina A&T graduate DerriQ J is on the mission to put NC talent on the map.

DerriQ J, is the founder and CEO of We In Action (WIA) Entertainment, an independent record label based in Greensboro, NC. Launched on November 24th, 2020, WIA helps promote and market artists to reach their maximum potential.
